Grenoble, France

Winter 2010: we bought a big piece of plastic, secretly cut some bamboos from our neighbour's yard at 1am and set up this green house.
Planted some salads in there.
And come February, everything suddenly started growing!!! We had over 300 heads of lettuce that we didn't know what to do with, and seedlings growing up the wazoo. The greenhouse was a great success!!!
Zuchini!
2011: our first batch of greenhouse potatoes.
Our first major crop this year. Zuchini, cauliflower, green beans, chive, laurel, mint, basil, cherry tomatoes, zuchini, beef heart tomatoes, cucumbers, pickles, colrabi, zuchini, beats, carrots, zuchini ... oh and did I mention zuchini?
Our SECOND crop this year! Zuchini, tomatoes, green beans, artichokes, cukes, zuchini, carrots, beats, zuchini, wild strawberries, cherries (from a tree nearby), zuchini, laurel, eggplant, zuchini. Oh, and did I mention zuchini???
Oh, and zuchini as well.
This was a small one! That's nearly 3 kilos of zuchini!!! A third batch was still to come!!! In total, about 90kg of zuchinis.
Our second batch of potatoes this year. In total about 70kg of potatoes. Jesus!
One of two watermelons that we tried growing. It may have been small, but it sure was tasty!
Record-setting eggplant. It was as good as it looks, white as snow on the inside!!!
And now we're into squash and pumkin season. This is our first crop. Squash, rhubarb, last tomatoes, last zuchinis (finally, Jesus!!!), eggplants, green peppers (unbelievably tasty!), las cukes/pickles. And this year, with Pilar in bed most of the time, we barely did any work. Maybe once a week we passed by to water and pull some weeds, or not even. I must, however, recognize that without the help of a number of friends, especially at the beginning planting all the seedlings, we wouldn't have had such a back-breaking crop!!!
