So after the rain in Vancouver, snowy streets in Toronto, and falling snow in Paris, I
came out of the airplane into this!  Now I understand why all the British and Germans
come south after they retire!  This is the start of the trip in Denia, heading south.

Somewhere near el Cabo de San Antoni.

Lunch on day 1, just before Jávea.

Evening view of Jávea from camp 1, with Montgó in the background.

Cooking dinner in my new jacket...

8:00 am on day 2.  The tiny red buoy behind Pilar is a guy snorkeling.  As we were
having breakfast, he came out of the water with a sizeable octopus that he had speared.
These snorkeling fishermen were all over this coast.  And they're just as crazy about
       fishing as, well, normal fishermen!

Later that day, we passed by a couple of fishermen fishing off the rocks.  They'd caught
this fish, but their line had got caught underwater.  So Pilar fished it out with their net.
I asked them what kind of fish it was, but they told us some strange Catalan name that
we didn't recognize...  I'll have to ask Rodney.

Huge cave in the middle of the cliffs!

A secret cove where we set up camp 2.

The coastline looking south from camp 2.  The clifftops were lined with white
mansions that are probably mostly owned by foreigners.

In the afternoon, on day 3, we rounded this cornere and suddenly came into view of
Calpe, where all the foreigners go to lie on the lame flat beaches.  Looked almost like
      Vegas...

It doesn't show on this picture, but as we rounded this final snub of land, we had
over 2 metre high waves that were rebounding off the cliffs.  Crazy!

In the final 200m of our trip, the wind suddenly picked up like crazy, and we had big
choppy waves.  So, of course, to keep in character with practically ALL my water
experiences, one set of waves caught me off guard, and over I went.  So, a nice wet
finish for me!  Ha.  Thank god I didn't lose the camera that was in the cockpit (I had
it in a mostly dry-bag.  It still works...
