June 26-30, 2008 Yours Truly, Pilar and Laure 4 canyons. Where: Sierra de Guara, ESPAÑA Approach to el Barrance Lenases: a dry canyon that I did with       a friend from Chamonix, Laure, that we took to visit Spain for       two weeks.  This is a typical horrible approach with bushes that       lacerate your legs to pieces. Rotten water in the descent. Do I really have to go in there?  Beeurk! We found 3 dead baby vultures, 2 dead mice, some animal bones        and lots of worms in these pools.  Sweet! Approach to the Barranco d'Os Cochas y del Mascún.       Beautiful 3 hour hike with nobody in sight.  And hot!!! Barranco d'Os Cochas. Final rappel into the main canyon of el Río Mascún which       was full of people staring up at us. Approach to the canyon whose name I can't remember but that        leads to the Río Balced. Nikolai's variation. Beautiful cool water. Barranco de Formiga.  Lots of water!
