March 14, 2009 Yours Truly, Pilar, Gabriella and Pierre-Yves Distance: 45 km One week after the official race # of people encountered: 0 Mode of transport: skate skis Where: Hauts Plateaux du Vercors, FRANCE We did the traversee du Vercors, which is a 60km xc ski race that crosses the high plateaux of the        Vercors, one week AFTER the official race.  Normally the high plateaux are left totally untracked        to preserve the "wilderness" feel to them.  There was 10cm of fresh since the week before, but        not enough to keep us away.  This picture is the beginning, heading up the dh ski runs near        the Col de Rousset, on the Southern tip of the Vercors.
