Chowing chicken in Valence before take off.
First climb out of Valence. Ahhh warm sunshine!
Climbing out of beautiful Toulaud on sweet double/single track and fantastic light. The weekend before we'd done the bump of a crest on the horizon after dark with our headlights. It's a sweet ridge overlooking Valence, with steep cliffs on the east side and castle ruins on one end. Pretty cool to do in the dark!
Cool single track down from Col des Ayes.
Following the GR!
Stream crossing.
Pilar and I both had the same rear rack setup. We had winter bags, tent and some spare clothes all stuffed in to our yellow waterproof bags. Sweet system, works well.
Rad downhill all the way into the valley, at the end of day 1, towards Saint Laurent du Pape.
Morning of day 2.
Near beautiful Saint-Cierge-la-Serre (600m).
Descending to Saint Julien en Saint Alban. Pilar is on the road at the left of this panorama. South of the Vercors in the background.
Yeehaw!
Following the GR.
The clouds 're starting to build!
Feeding some very stumpy poneys.
The wheat fields starting to sprout.
And some more local species.
Rad final technical descent from hunter's territory, down to Meysse and Montelimar.
Montelimar in the background.
Oouf!!! Climbing some steeeep stairs in Meysse. Cool trip!
