CLARA-W is not copy-protected, in order to permit legitimate backup. It can be used from a CD, or copied onto a hard disk. It is copyrighted, however, and all rights of distribution are reserved by O. Hungr Geotechnical Research Inc. (OHGRI). The name of the licensee appears on the program title screen.

A Standard license is valid for use on any number of computers at a given address. One or several discounted Branch Licenses can be purchased for use at different addresses within the same company or institution.

An educational license is also available.
